Disclosures
How this site works, in plain terms.
We're a referral service
CallahanLandClearing.com puts landowners in touch with independent contractors. We don't clear, mulch, grade, grind or burn anything ourselves, and the contractors we refer don't work for us.
How we're paid
Contractors pay us to receive referrals or to advertise on this site. Landowners never pay us anything.
One contractor per request
Each request goes to a single contractor who serves your area, not to a list of companies.
Contractors are responsible for their work
The contractor you hire is responsible for their own licensing, insurance, permits, pricing, workmanship and warranties, and any agreement is between you and the contractor. Florida has no state contractor license category specifically for land clearing. Where part of a job is work the state does license, you can look up the license on the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation's Verify a License search, and you can check a business's workers' compensation coverage in the state's Proof of Coverage Database. Ask any contractor for a certificate of liability insurance before work starts.
Calls may be recorded
Calls to our phone number may be recorded for quality and to confirm referrals.
Brands and sources
No equipment manufacturer sponsors or endorses this site. Rules, fees and cost figures on this site come from the town, county, state and federal pages they link to and from the national cost guides they name, as of the date stated on each page. They are general information, not legal advice. The office that issues the permit, or your contractor's written quote, is what counts.
